Exposing the Dangers of Taxpayer Funded Pretrial Release

Substitute Teacher Attacks Student, Released for FREE!

San Marcos, Hays County, Texas

Tiffani Lankford was arrested on 11/8/19 for attacking a student. I will not say allegedly, because there is video of her doing it. Now, you would think she would spend some time in jail or have to pay to be released, but that was not what the Magistrate Judge did when Tiffani stood in front of them. The Judge set her bail at $10,000 and then granted her a personal bond. Tiffani was released within hours after seeing the judge.

A personal bond is when you are released from custody and promise to appear in court with no money put up, or incentive to return for court proceedings.

    What legislators voted for this?
Is this funded by one of those activist bail fund groups or are tax dollars funding this? So no hardship for breaking the law anymore?

It is taxpayer funded. Hays County has a pretrial department that operates with taxes from its constituents.
